From ejection seats to crew escape capsules, many military members’ lives have been saved by the inventions of Oscar Sepp. Countless civilians have saved a lot of frustration from losing toothpaste caps, thanks to Sepp.

His first design, which never was patented, was of a three-cylinder hydromatic motorcycle, drawn while he was at MIT in 1952. He studied there while he was in the Naval Reserve.

Sepp once engineered an improvement for his Hammond organ that included an insertable coded card “to set it up for a certain style of playing, so that all you had to do was play the notes without worrying about adjusting the preselectors for the tonal control elements of the organ” - and received a patent for it 1966 it. His first patent application was an invention for the Colgate-Palmolive Co. in 1954 for Brisk toothpaste…..!!!!!

Man…. I just know the name of my toothpaste brand!
