
Okay, this is not a joke. It’s a true story.
Believe it or not, they’re left unwell after playing Nintendo’s new 3DS console have complained they are being refused full refunds. Thousands of users have reported side-effects including dizziness, nausea and headaches after using the device with revolutionary 3D screens.
Some are furious that shops are refusing to pay back the money they spent on the 3DS, which has a recommended retail price of £229.99 and was released ten days ago. The Nintendo 3DS was launched last month to huge fanfare in Britain, Europe and the U.S.
“Gamers, some of whom queued overnight to become the first to own it, soon reported various side-effects. A spokesman for Nintendo today said: ‘The Nintendo 3DS was designed with a 3D depth slider that lets users adjust the 3D effect so that everyone can still enjoy this product”
“When viewing any kind of 3D images, including movies and on TV, some people might experience minor discomfort. The effects are short term and have no lasting effect; most people can continue after taking a break. Game spokesman Neil Ashurst advised customers to play on a demo Nintendo 3DS instore before making a purchase.
